Rakesh Roshan, producer and director of "Krrish 3" has dismissed media speculations that the box office collection figures have been fabricated to enter the record book, claiming that the gross revenue has crossed ₹500 crore.

Reacting to reports that the box office figures of the film given by him was gross and not nett income, the filmmaker told Bollywood Hungama that he got "updates from all my distributors, exhibitors and from places where my film is running right from the first day itself."

"How can I fudge ₹40-50 crores? Is it really that simple or is it a joke to change and pump up the collections? Besides they say that the figures I have shared are gross figures. In fact if I look at the gross figures that include the entertainment tax, and everything else, then Krrish 3's collection has crossed ₹500 crores. I think they really need to go back and learn the difference between gross and nett figures first," he added.

Trade analyst and film critic, Taran Adarsh tweeted on Friday that the film has been released at 51 screens in Germany, which could boost overseas box office collection marginally.

According to Bollywood Hungama, the film has collected ₹239.68 crore at domestic box office from 21 days. However, the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Ram-leela" has affected its earnings this week, reducing its earning to ₹1.39 (Mon), ₹1.15 (Tue), ₹1.02 (Wed), and ₹0.9 (Thu). Its worldwide collection is approximately ₹279 crore but it may not go much further with more films - "Gori Tere Pyaar Mein" and "Singh Saab The Great" - being released on Friday.

"Krrish 3", starring Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Vivek Oberoi and Kangna Ranaut, earned ₹25.50 on the opening day and went on to beat Shah Rukh Khan's "Chennai Express" lifetime collection of ₹227 crore at domestic box office. But going by the steep decline in its earning, it looks like it will not cross ₹300 crore mark.
