Ranbir Kapoor may be the young superstar but the actor has his share of insecurities.
Ranbir has several hits to his credit and has created a space for himself in the industry quite successfully. But the actor admits he is susceptible to the looming insecurity that comes with the success of his contemporaries.
Ranbir, speaking to Karan Johar in the new episode of "Kofee with Karan", candidly revealed that his fellow young actors' success makes him jealous.
When Johar asked the actor: "Are you threatened Ranbir... do you watch their work carefully?" the star confessed: "Absolutely. I feel extremely jealous when somebody gives a good performance, but I consider everybody from Mr. Amitabh Bachchan right down to Varun Dhawan as my competition... everybody is competition," quoted the Press Trust of India.
The new batch of leading actors, including Ranveer Singh, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sushant Singh Rajput, Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra, have already made a strong presence. However, Ranbir is still leading the way; a view was shared by Johar himself.
Ranbir also opened up on his personal front, saying that his image of an unfaithful lover has been exaggerated, following his failed past relationships (especially with Deepika Padukone).
"This perception of me really being this unfaithful dog has been a bit too stretched... I think too much has been said because of my previous relationship but I would like to believe I am a good guy and I'm faithful," he said.
The star will be seen sharing the couch with his famous cousin Kareena Kapoor in KWK's new season's second episode. The candid and impromptu conversation between the two will reveal major chunks on each other's lives.
Kareena will be seen referring to Katrina Kaif as her 'sister-in-law', in order to tease Ranbir. Ranbir, on the other hand, will pick on Kareena, making fun of her unfriendly equation with her contemporaries.
The episode will be aired at 9pm tonight on Star World.
