The teaser of Rajinikanth starrer "Kochadaiiyaan" has gone viral with more than 2.8 million views in just five days.
Although fans were elated to see their "Thalaivar" (leader) on screen, they were disappointed that Rajinikanth had no dialogues in the teaser.
"Kochadaiiyaan" director Soundarya has assured fans that the film's trailer will feature dialogues rendered by Rajinikanth. She added that the trailer will be much longer than the teaser.
"Off to china !! Taken all ur feedback.Trailer Will be longer and have our thalaivar s voice :) No twitter there, Will tweet once I'm back!!" Soundarya posted a message.
The film claims to be India's first photorealistic 3D film, where the actors' action sequences are captured and presented in 3D format.
The film has Rajinikanth in a dual-role as father Kochadaiiyaan and son Rana. Deepika Padukone and veteran actress Shobana play the leading ladies. The rest of the star cast includes Aadhi, Sarathkumar, Nassar and Jackie Shroff.
Soundarya, who is making her debut as director, said she has been working in the film for about six years to understand the technology and apply it in the film.
"I have been working on it for the last six years, learning about film animation techniques and production. With Kochadaiiyaan, we wanted to do something unique, so we decided to use motion capture technology, which has never been attempted in its full extent in India before," Soundarya told Hindustan Times.
The music of "Kochadaiiyaan", composed by AR Rahman, will be released in October. The film, an epic drama, is expected to release on Rajinikanth's birthday, which happens to be on 12 December.
