After a whole lot of censor trouble, director Pooja Bhatt's erotic thriller film, "Jism 2" has been passed by the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
The CBFC gave "Jism 2" an "A" certificate on Wednesday.
"A certificate received for #Jism2. August 3 here we come! India just got itself an erotic thriller that truly reflects the times! ; )," Pooja Bhatt confirmed on twitter.
The censor board authorities had on Tuesday sent Bhatt back, demanding to cut at least 50 percent of the length and explicitly lovemaking scenes, calling them "too explicit".
"We did not issue a certificate, a senior member of CBFC had confirmed TOI, saying that, "We will certify the film only when Pooja returns with the modified version, which should have the intimate scenes cut to half their length."
Bhatt, who apparently anticipated the reaction of the Censor Board, insisted that she made the cuts on her own discretion.
"#Jism2 has not been affected in the least by the cuts I made 'upon my own discretion'!" she clarified on Twitter.
Apparently, the certified version of the film will have diluted intimate scenes, which the CBFC described as "too bold".
The director claims that "Jism 2" will be the most sensual film made in Indian cinema so far even after the cut.
"I promised you the most sensual film of our times, I am delivering to you the most sensual film of our times! #Jism Aug 3! Here we come!" she tweeted.
The uncensored steamy promos have already become a hit on the net, while the raunchy posters of its lead actor, Indo-Canadian porn star Sunny Leone have created immense buzz among the youngsters.
