Late Yash Chopra's last directorial romantic movie "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" has concluded the fourth week by collecting ₹42 lakhs in India. The movie released during the six-day Diwali weekend grossed ₹121.27 crore at box offices across India.
The movie starring Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles was touted to be the biggest blockbuster movie of the year. It was also expected to break the record of Salman Khan's "Ek Tha Tiger", but it failed to do that.
However, it has emerged as a blockbuster movie of the year at the overseas box offices. It collected total ₹ 69.86 cr total in the international market. It was released across 2,500 screens in India and 600 screens internationally along with Ajay Devgn's "Son of Sardaar" during Diwali.
After the fourth week, the worldwide total of the movie stands at ₹191.13 crore. The business of "JTHJ" was affected in its third week with the release of new films "Talaash" and "Khiladi 786".
Meanwhile, the movie with the total of ₹ 69.86 crore has now become Bollywood's third highest and Shahrukh's second highest grosser film overseas.
In international arena, the romantic drama crossed the lifetime business of films like "Don 2", "Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna", "Ek Tha Tiger", "Om Shanti Om", "Ra.One", "Dhoom 2" and "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi".
"Jab Tak Hai Jaan," produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films banner, marked the comeback of legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra to direction after a gap of eight years.
