The cast and crew of "Happy New Year" have returned to Mumbai after wrapping the first schedule of the film in Dubai. Director Farah Khan and lead actors Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Boman Irani were spotted at Mumbai's international airport.
"Can't believe @iamsrk is back evn tho his shoot's over!!true lov 4 his crew n above all 4 the Play station fifa!!" tweeted Farah, adding, "And its a schedule wrap!thank u Atlantis hotel n Dubai 4 making it so smoothly possible!"
"Back to Dubai...short visit to Mumbai...touch and go. Shoot coming to an end...another dream's first schedule wrapping soon," wrote Shah Rukh Khan on Twitter.
"Happy New Year" is directed and written by Farah Khan, and produced by SRK's wife Gauri Khan under Red Chillies Entertainment. It was planned in 2005 but gave way to "Om Shanti Om" which had SRK and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles.
Speculations were rife on the lead actress of the film with names like Sonakshi Sinha, Parineeti Chopra and Katrina Kaif doing the rounds, but the director finally chose "Om Shanti Om" heroine, Deepika Padukone. It will be Deepika's third film with SRK after "Om Shanti Om" and "Chennai Express".
"Happy New Year" will also feature Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles.
The film went to the floors on 1September after a long delay. It is reported that a major portion of the film would be shot in Dubai and is expected to be released later next year.
