Shahrukh Khan's new move to name the leading lady of his film before him in the credit roll has impressed many and some girls were so elated on hearing the news that they sent a bouquet of red roses to him.
Bollywood's King Khan pledged on the occasion of International Women's Day to put actress' name first in the film credit in all his movies starting with "Chennai Express".
"I would request to all those who I am working with, starting with 'Chennai Express' (to do it). I don't know whether this is going to bring a change but the point needs to be raised," said SRK, according to IANS.
"With the mark of 100 years of Indian cinema and Women's Day coming up, it would be a nice combination. In Chennai Express, Deepika Padukone's name will appear first."
The news has definitely made Deepika Padukone happy, but there are some other people in the film industry who are very happy with Shahrukh's gesture
The female cast of Anubhav Sinha's next film "Gulaab Gang" has sent a large bouquet of red roses to Shahrukh at Wai, where the actor and Deepika were busy shooting for "Chennai Express".
"Mahie Gill, Tanishtha Chatterjee and the others are very gung-ho about the actor's decision. Since their film too is based on a group of women, who took up arms to protest against domestic and social violence towards the fairer sex, they wanted to say thanks to SRK," Mid-Day quoted a source as saying.
"Gulaab Gang" is an upcoming drama film starring Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla in the lead roles. The film is based on a group of women vigilantes in Uttar Pradesh with same name. The women group dressed in pink saris fight against the social injustice and violence against women in Bundelkhand, UP.
