Scott Eastwood has emerged as the top contender for the role of Christian Grey in the film adaptation of "Fifty Shade of Grey."
Ever since Charlie Hunnam backed out of "Fifty Shades of Grey", a lot of heat has revolved around whose going to be cast to play Christian Grey. In an exclusive Just Jared report, the website reported that Clint Eastwood's son Scott is currently the top contender to play the troubled billionaire and has already been approached for the role.
Though neither Universal Pictures nor Focus Features confirmed the news, Eastwood added fuel to the fire when he sent out a tweet regarding him being in the film.
"What is all this talk about 50 Shades of Grey?? What do you all think?? Let me know. #hype #eastwoodlivin," he tweeted.
This is not the first time reports of a star being approached for the role has made the rounds. Earlier last week, The Hollywood Reporter stated that Jamie Dornan and Christian Cooke were approached for the role. The tabloid also confirmed that while who will play Christian Grey in the film is still debatable, Dakota Johnson is still part of the film and will play Anastasia Steele.
Though the actress was disappointed that Hunnam had dropped out of the kinky film, she is reportedly excited to meet whoever will eventually be cast opposite her.
According to E! Online, there are many other names that are being considered for the film. These include Billy Magnussen and Luke Bracey. Magnussen is a 28-year-old actor who recently was cast as a series regular on the upcoming HBO drama, "The Money." Bracey is a 24-year-old Australian actor best known for his role as Try Palmer in "Home and Away."
Keeping media reports aside, Ian Somerhalder and Matt Bomer continue to remain fans' favourites for the film.
