Big stars doing cameos in small budget films generate a lot of curiosity among film buffs.
It has become common in the Telugu film industry for popular celebrities to make special appearances with an aim to promote their films.
Recently, "Power Star" Pawan Kalyan was seen dancing alongside Nithiin in "Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde" for "Tholiprema" remix song which received thunderous response from the audience.
Stylish star Allu Arjun is making a cameo in Ram Charan Teja's upcoming film "Yevadu".
The latest to join the legion of stars doing special appearances in films is Mahesh Babu. For the first time Mahesh and Pawan will be seen together in small budget film "Kiss", directed by Adivi Sesh who also plays the male lead.
The superstars of Telugu cinema might not star in the film as such. Buzz is that clippings from their films will be used in "Kiss", which is touted to be a romantic entertainer.
According to reports, some clippings from Mahesh Babu's "Dookudu" and Pawan's "Panjaa" will be added in the film.
Adivi Sesh, who is known for his roles in critically acclaimed "Karma" and "Panjaa", will be playing the role of a thief. Talking about his character, Sesh told The Times of India, "He wants to steal something to survive, but doesn't know how."
Despite getting more offers after portraying dark characters in the aforementioned films, the actor-cum-director rejected those as he did not want to get stereotyped. He is now experimenting with romantic comedy in "Kiss".
Debutant Priya Banerjee from Canada plays the female lead. The film is expected to hit the theatres this year.
Besides "Kiss", Adivi will be seen doing a small role in the Ravi Teja starrer "Balupu". He will also make his appearance in epic drama "Baahubali", starring Prabhas, Anushka and Rana Daggubati.
