Shah Rukh Khan's "Don 2: The King is Back" collected approximately Rs. 15 crores, on its release on Friday. Based on available data, Sanjeev Lamba, the Chief Executive Officer of Reliance Entertainment (co-producers of the film), expected net collections to be around Rs. 14 - Rs. 15 crores. Reports suggested the film averaged 80 - 90 percent attendance across the country.
His view was shared by various trade analysts, who expected the film to better in the days to come, particularly with the Christmas weekend ahead.
The film was debuted on as many as 3,105 screens in the country.
The film was directed by Farhan Akhtar and is a sequel to "Don - The Chase Begins Again" (2006).
