The much-awaited Madhuri Dixit starrer "Dedh Ishqiya" premiered in Mumbai on Thursday. The screening was attended by the cast and crew of the film, as well as several B-Town celebs, including Kalki Koechin, Rajkumar Yadav, Maria Goretti, Manish Paul and VJ Andy.
Madhuri, the leading lady of the film, sported an indigo blue-coloured Manish Malhotra anarkali with a silver embroidery at the grand premier. The 46-year-old actress was joined by her husband Dr Sriram Nene. Meanwhile, her co-star Huma Qureshi wore a pink and golden coloured lehenga, also designed by Malhotra.
"Dedh Ishqiya" is Madhuri's first film in the lead role after a long gap of more than six years. Her last film "Aaja Nachle" was released in November 2007. In "Dedh Ishqiya" Madhuri plays the role of Begum Para who is paired with veteran Naseeruddin Shah.
"Dedh Ishqiya" is a sequel to the 2010 hit film 'Ishqiya", with lead actors Naseeruddin and Arshad Warsi reprising their roles. The comedy thriller is produced by filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj and Raman Maroo of Shemaroo Entertaintment.
