Comedian Kapil Sharma's hit show "Comedy Nights with Kapil" will finally witness the presence of Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
The veteran will appear in the ever-popular TV show to promote his upcoming horror comedy "Bhoothnath Returns".
"There are going to be appearances on various TV shows - 'Comedy Nights with Kapil', ABP news, 'Boogie Woogie', Tarak Mehta... and on..." wrote the actor on his personal blog on Tumblr recently.
Bachchan further explained that marketing and promotion of films have become a necessity now to ensure box office success.
"The world of marketing has presented us with huge opportunity to make that first week end almost impregnable to any mishap or damage on box office performance, so one respects it and honours all the efforts being made." But he followed it up adding: "...not the stars, not the marketing, nothing ...the content is king!!"
While CNWK has hosted prominent names of Bollywood like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in the past, Bachchan has not appeared on the show so far.
With the "Paa" actor now expected on the show soon, all eyes are on Ali Asgar who plays the character of the overexcited "Daadi", who makes it a point to plant her trademark kiss on all male guests. Whether Asgar will try any such antics with Bachchan is a doubt but the entire cast of CNWK would surely have a field day with the legendary actor in the house.
Meanwhile, Bachchan also wrote on his blog that the shoot of his upcoming TV serial is currently underway and it is expected to be broadcast soon. The new season of the star's reality show "Kaun Banega Crorepati" is also on the radar and is expected to start rolling in the coming days.
