After breaking many box office records, "Chennai Express" hit the small screens with a bang. Zee TV recently threw a grand party for the cast and crew of the film, following the overwhelming response from the audience when it was premiered on television.
The Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone starrer reportedly pushed the channel to the top position by garnering a total viewership of 19.5 million when it was premiered.
"We all have worked very hard. This film has been special for all of us and I guess when you make a film that comes straight from the heart with lot of honesty and love, I guess this is the result. I'm happy that I am getting to meet Rohit and Shah Rukh and everyone who has been associated with "Chennai Express". As I was out when the film got released and I was not present even during the success party, I think this is my moment to meet everyone again," ANI quoted Deepika as saying.
"I personally believe that all these things just happen. Nobody plans it, obviously every director wants that his film should do well, even I wanted but something like this, that it will break all the records after releasing and even when it comes on television it will break records, all these no one can plan, it just happens," said director Rohit Shetty.
"Chennai Express" was on a record-breaking spree ever since its release in August. The film earned more than ₹300 crore in India and more than ₹419 crore worldwide.
