Shah Rukh Khan is known to be an ardent fan of Rajinikanth. The Bollywood actor paid tribute to Rajini in his sci-fi film "Ra.One", wherein the superstar made a special cameo as "Chitti -The Robot".
It seems SRK wants to continue paying tributes to the southern star, who has a huge fan following across the globe. Latest buzz is that King Khan has asked Punjabi rapper Honey Singh to compose a special song in his upcoming film "Chennai Express", as a tribute to the superstar.
"I was very surprised and happy to hear from Shah Rukh bhai. He said he wanted me to do a particular song. I wrote and composed the song while I was in Mauritius. Both Shah Rukh bhai and I are huge Rajinikanth fans. This number is our tribute to him," Honey Singh told a leading tabloid.
SRK reportedly wants the song to be peppy and electrifying. Honey Singh said the song would not just be a big hit among Khan's fans, but would be liked by Rajini's fans as well.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, "Chennai Express" is about a Mumbai man who is on a journey to Rameshwaram in south India and falls in love with a Tamilian. The film boasts of an ensemble cast, including Deepika Padukone and south actors Sathyaraj, Manorama. Priya Mani does a special item song with SRK.
Deepika appears as a Tamil-speaking woman in "Chennai Express". The film is touted to be a romantic-action entertainer with all the key elements - peppy songs, heavy action and romance. One of the film's songs titled "One two three four Get on the dance floor" was released on YouTube few days ago. SRK and Priya groove to the upbeat item song, which is certain to rock the masses.
"Chennai Express" is all set to have a worldwide release on 8 August.
