The much-hyped film, "Chennai Express" starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone is creating records in internationak markets too after becoming the highest grossing film ever in India.
Shah Rukh Khan has huge fan-base in overseas market which can be seen in the box office revenue. The paid previews of "Chennai Express" on Thursday raked in approximately ₹4.55 crore from the UK, US, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and UAE-GCC markets.
In the UK and Singapore circuits the film had the highest opening day collection ever.
Rohit Shetty's directorial action -packed romantic comedy has fared extremely well on day one at the overseas box office, especially in the UK circuits.
The rom-com raked in ₹2.44 crore (£ 258,598) on Friday in the UK, making it the highest grosser Hindi film ever. From UAE-GCC circuits too, the film minted more than ₹99.42 lakh on opening day.

The much-talked-about film was released in more than 700 screens in international arena. Considering, the SRK's fan following, the makers of the film have also released in seven non-traditional markets like Morocco, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Israel and Peru.
With the release of "Chennai Express", SRK is re-writing the rules of box office in India as well as overseas market. The film received mixed reviews from critics, but the audience's response on the first day was phenominal.
