Akshay Kumar's "Boss" third day collection was slightly lower, compared to previous day, but its performing way better than "Besharam" at the domestic box office.
The action-packed entertainer has raked in ₹6 crore on Friday from Indian markets, taking its three day total to ₹28.5 crore, trade analyst Taran Adarsh said. Anthony D'Souza's directorial film is performing much better than last big Bollywood release "Besharam".
Ranbir Kapoor's "Besharam", which released on 2 October in 3,600 screens, had raked in ₹21.56 crore, ₹7.13 crore and ₹5.68 crore respectively on the first three days of its release.
The opening day collection of "Besharam" was huge because of the national holiday, while "Boss" was released on partial holidays in the country. Also, the screen count of "Besharam" was much higher than that of "Boss".
But the release of Akshay's film has brought down the collections of "Besharam" in India.
Meanwhile, "Boss" has been performing extremely well in single screens. Since the opening day, the film has registered a good occupancy at single screens, especially in North India.
The film is expected to pick up over the weekend and if the Saturday collection sees a jump, there are chances that the film might end up raking in a lump sum amount at the box office.
Meanwhile, take a look at "Besharam" and "Boss" three days earning:
