"Bol Bachchan" has entered its third week at the box office and is still going strong.
The release of Homi Adajania's "Cocktail" and Tamil movie "Billa 2" did affected the collection of "Bol Bachchan" but it managed to earn approximately ₹ 241 million in the second week, taking the total the total to Rs 909 Million nett in week 2.
"#BolBachchan collected approx ₹ 24.12 cr nett in Week 2, taking the 2-week total to approx ₹ 90.93 cr nett," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
With the success of Rohit Shetty's "Bol Bachchan" in the first week, trade analyst felt that the movie would cross ₹ 1 billion marks and join the elite club in second week itself.
The romantic comedy was expected to collect approximately ₹ 330 million in the second week, but it collected only ₹ 241 million.
"Bol Bachchan"s collection was affected by Saif Ali Khan, Diana Penty and Deepika Padukone starrer "Cocktail" which is still going strong at the box office.
"Cocktail" got mixed reviews but collected ₹ 360 million in its opening weekend.
"Bol Bachchan", starring Ajay Devgan and Abhishek Bachchan collected ₹440 million in the opening weekend and broke the record of Akshay Kumar starrer "Houseful 2" and Ajay Devgan starrer "Singham" which grossed ₹420 million and ₹310.07 million respectively.
The release of new movies has affected "Bol Bachchan"s collection, but director Shetty is quite confident that the movie will cross the ₹1 billion mark.
"#BolBachchan got affected by #Cocktail wave at plexes. Yet, the contribution from s screens helped the film collect a good total in Week 2," Adarsh tweeted.
The director and actors of the movie are waiting with their fingers crossed to cross the ₹1 billion mark.
