Bollywood actress and former Miss World Priyanka said she is upset for always being judged and admitted that the constant scrutiny affects her.
"As artists, we are putting ourselves out there to be scrutinised - be it my acting or my music. But being judged all the time is hard. And, thanks to the internet, we are scrutinised even more often now. So, it's hard. At the end of the day, we are also human beings with emotions. So, it does affect me," Priyanka was quoted by Hindustan Times.
The 31-year-old actress-cum-singer has decided to get over the constant scrutiny and go on with her upcoming projects which also includes a biopic on boxing champ Mary Kom.
Speaking about Mary Com and the film, Priyanka said, "Mary is so girly. That's what is so fascinating about her. She is a boxer, a fighter, very strong but also very feminine. She is an inspiration."
"Yeah, the film is highly anticipated and that makes me nervous," she added.
Priynaka's next release "Zanjeer", a remake of Amitabh Bachchan's famous film of the same title, is set to hit screens soon. Previously, she had acted in two remakes of Big B's famous films - "Don" and "Agneepath".
"See, I can't play Mr Bachchan's role, so this is the closest I can get to him. I am his remake heroine!" quipped the actress.
Priyanaka also spoke at length about her new single "Exotic" and is happy over the response that the song received.
"Music is my new big challenge. It'll take me time to be the musician that I want to be at some point in time. But, it's great to get such a good response to my songs. The huge support I've been getting makes me feel empowered," she said.
"I have always taken risks. When I decided to do Fashion (2008), everyone told me heroine-centric films don't work and that I should do such films after retirement. But I didn't listen. I like taking challenges, doing new things."
Priyanka will also be seen playing a leading role in Hrithik Roshan starrer "Krrish 3" which is set to hit screens on 4 November.
