Tollywood actor Jr NTR's latest film, "Baadshah" has fetched a total of ₹6.88 crores after four weeks at the US box office.
"Baadshah", which was released on 5 April, has been doing good business in India as well as overseas. According to film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh, "Baadshah" has fetched USA $ 1,278,610 after four weeks.
"Telugu film #Baadshah *Total after 4 Weeks* USA $ 1,278,610 [Rs 6.88 crores]," he tweeted.
"Baadshah" earned huge collections in the first two weeks, with Taran declaring the movie as a smash hit in the US. "Telugu film #Baadshah is a smash hit in USA. Total after 2nd Weekend: Total: $ 1,232,757 [Rs 6.72 crores]," Taran had earlier tweeted.
From the first day of its release, the film received great response from moviegoers. The first two-day collections of "Baadshah" surpassed the total figures of NTR's past highest grosser in the US. But, the film's collections slowly dropped with the release of Telugu movies like "Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde" and "Shadow." The release of Nagarjuna's "Greeku Veerudu" on 3 May might affect "Baadshah's" collections even further.
Directed by Sreenu Vaitla of "Dookudu" fame, "Baadshah" is an action entertainer in which Jr NTR appears as Rama Rao and Baadshah. Kajal Aggarwal plays the female lead. The film was produced by Bandla Ganesh under the banner of Parameshwara Art Productions. After the super success of "Gabbar Singh", producer Bandla Ganesh has another blockbuster in his list with "Baadshah" receiving an overwhelming response.
The production house is busy with its next outing - "Iddarammailatho" - starring Allu Arjun, Amala Paul and Catherine Tresa. The movie is expected to get released on 23 May.
Jr NTR has also shifted his focus to his next project - "Ramayya Vasthavayya"- with director Harish Shankar. Samantha and Shruti Haasan will play the female leads.
