Jr NTR's "Baadshah" is still going strong at the box office and has been declared a smash hit in the United States.
"Baadshah" has collected a total of ₹6.72 crore after the second weekend at the US box office collection. "Telugu film #Baadshah is a smash hit in USA. Total after 2nd Weekend: Total: $ 1,232,757 [Rs 6.72 crores]," trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted.
The movie's second week collections were much better than the box office collections of new releases including "NautankiSaala" which earned ₹50.66 lakhs in its opening weekend at the US box office and Tamil film "Settai" that fetched just a total of ₹41.81 lakhs after the second weekend.
With the super success of "Baadshah", Jr NTR is back with a bang after facing three flops continuously.
After the blockbuster movie "Dookudu" director Sreenu Vaitla's "Baadshah" was riding on a lot of expectations as the director teamed up with Jr NTR for the first time. The combination of the young tiger of Telugu cinema (Jr NTR) and Sreenu Vailta has been proved successful with the film receiving great response from moviegoers.
"Baadshah" is an out and out commercial pot boiler with all the ingredients that a Jr NTR fan would expect from his movie. The flick has been doing extremely well setting a new record for NTR at the overseas box office. The actor appears as Rama Rao and Baadshah in the movie. Kajal Aggarwal features as the female lead. "Baadshah" is the second movie in which Kajal has been paired with Jr NTR, following their last outing "Brindavanam".
The rest of star cast including Siddharth, Kelly Dorji, Navdeep, MS Narayana, Brahmanadam, Nassar and Vennela Kishore, all feature in pivotal roles.
Even as the movie is raking in good business, Jr NTR has shifted his focus to his upcoming projects - Harish Shankar's untitled project and "Rabhasa" with director Santosh Srinivas. Samantha will reportedly play the female lead in "Rabhasa".
