Pawan Kalyan's telugu film "Attarintiki Daredi" ("AD") is receiving overwhelming response from audiences across the globe. To celebrate the mass reception towards the film, "Attarinti Daredi" team is planning for a big "thank you" function at Shilpakala Vedika convention centre, Hyderabad, on Sunday (6 October).
Pawan, director Trivikram Srinivas and the entire cast and crew of "Attarintiki Daredi" are likely to attend the event. Confirming the news, editor and reviewer of idle brain, Jeevi tweeted, "There will be a huge 'thank you' function for #atharintikidaredi on this sunday @ shilpakala vedika. Pawan and entire cast/crew will attend."
"Attarintiki Daredi" is on a record-smashing spree in India as well as in overseas markets. The film broke all existing box office records and has created new ones. It has earned over ₹22 crore during its opening weekend in Andhra Pradesh.
The film's collections in the US are stupendous, where it minted over ₹10 crore in its opening weekend. It has been listed among the top three Indian films with a big opening at the US box office. "Attarintiki Daredi" takes the third spot followed by "Chennai Express" and "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani".
The Pawan Kalyan starrer was scheduled for release on 9 October. But piracy issues forced producer BVSN Prasad to release the film at an earlier date. An 90-minute footage from the film was illegally uploaded online before the film was scheduled to hit screens. Following a complaint, police took swift action and arrested at least five accused in connection with the case.
Apart from the police, even power star fans took initiatives to stop piracy of the film. According to reports, those who worked towards ending the piracy will receive awards from the actor at the Sunday event.
