Pawan Kalyan's "Attarintiki Daredi" (AD) seems to be continuing with its business even after completing a 39-day run at the box office.
According to AndhraBoxOffice (ABO), "AD" has raked in ₹73.38 core worldwide share in 39 days. The film's share from Andhra Pradesh stands at ₹57.73 crore. The family entertainer has minted better collections than "Magadheera" at the overseas box office.
"AD" earned around ₹8 crore share from overseas markets, while "Magadheera" collections were much lower than this. The Pawan Kalyan starrer has earned over ₹10 crore share in two key markets in Andhra Pradesh - ₹23 crore share from Nizam area and ₹10.06 crore from Ceeded.
Some trade analysts have insisted that "AD" has emerged as a new industry hit breaking "Magadheera" worldwide share. But, industry sources told IBTimes India that "Magadheera" Telugu version alone has minted around ₹77crore share, which is much higher than "AD" collections.
The Ram Charan starrer continues to take the first spot in the list of Telugu films with top shares from Andhra Pradesh. While "AD" takes the second position, Pawan's 2012-blockbuster "Gabbar Singh" is in the third spot. The other films in the list includes "Dookudu", "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu", "Mirchi", "Baadshah", "Naayak", "Racha" and "Eega."
In a bid to provide more entertainment to the fans, the makers of "AD" have added about 6 minutes of video footage as a special Diwali treat. The film has already emerged as one of the highest grossing Telugu films. Power star Pawan Kalyan has achieved a rare feat of having given two blockbusters in consecutive years - "Gaabar Singh" in 2012 and "AD" in 2013.
The actor will be next seen in "Gabbar Singh 2", which is expected to go on floors this month. The film, a sequel to "Gabbar Singh", will be directed by Sampath Nandi. Sharath Marar, a good friend of Pawan, will be producing the film.
