The much-awaited Telugu film of the year, "Atharintiki Daaredi" (AD), is all set to hit the screens on 27 September, 12 days ahead of its scheduled release.
The Pawan Kalyan starrer has been in trouble ever since the issues surrounding the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh surfaced. "AD" was initially scheduled to release on 9 August. But the political unrest in the state forced the makers to push the release date.
Last week, the makers of "Atharintiki Daaredi" officially confirmed the film's release date for 9 October, but the date has once again been changed. Latest we hear is that the Pawan starrer will make it to theatres on 27 September.
An alleged online leak of the film's content has forced the makers to release the film in advance. According to reports, at least 90 minutes of the film was leaked online on Sunday. On the account of the leakage, "AD" producer BVSN Prasad has decided to release the film over this weekend.
"We came to know that someone uploaded 90-minute footage of the film illegally. We have traced that the leak happened in California, US. We will seek the help of the cyber department in this matter and take necessary action immediately. We are now planning to release the film by weekend," a source close to the film's producer told Indo-Asian News Service.
Several members of the Telugu film fraternity took to social networking site Twitter and tweeted supportive messages for the film.
"Atharintiki Daaredi" is touted to be a family entertainer, starring Pawan Kalyan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Pranitha Subash. The film was heading for a big clash with Jr NTR's "Ramayya Vastavayya" which is likely to get released on 10 October. Now that AD's release date has been pushed to an earlier date, it is expected to have a massive opening during the first weekend.
