The top 12 contestants of "American Idol" 2014 will hit the stage again on Wednesday for America's votes, based on which their stay in the competition will be determined, and it has been revealed that they will all sing about "home".
Wednesday's episode, showcasing the top 12 contestants, will be telecast at 8:00pm EST on Fox (6:30am IST, Thursday).
Last week saw Kristen O'Connor leaving the show after getting the least votes from America. She was placed in the bottom three, along with Malaya Watson and MK Nobillette after her rendition of Kelly Clarkson's "Beautiful Disaster". She sang "Turning Tables" by Adele for the judges but she failed to convince them.
The live performance of the top 13 contestants last week was disappointing with only a few of them like Caleb Johnson, Jessica Meuse, Alex Preston, MK Nobilette and Sam Woolf managing to put up a good show.
Here is a list of songs performed by the top 13 contestants last week:
Dexter Roberts: "Aw Naw" (Chris Young)
Malaya Watson: "Runaway Baby" (Bruno Mars)
Kristen O'Connor: "Beautiful Disaster" (Kelly Clarkson)
Ben Briley: "Folsom Prison Blues" (Johnny Cash)
C.J. Harris: "Radio" (Darius Rucker)
M.K. Nobilette: "Satisfaction" (Allen Stone)
Majesty Rose: "Tightrope" (Janelle Monae)
Jena Irene: "The Scientist" (Coldplay)
Alex Preston: "A Beautiful Mess" (Jason Mraz)
Jessica Meuse: "The Crow And The Butterfly" (Shinedown)
Emily Piriz: "Glitter in the Air" (Pink)
Sam Woolf: "Unwell" (Matchbox 20)
Caleb Johnson: "Pressure and Time" (Rival Sons)
The remaining 12 contestants - Dexter Roberts, Malaya Watson, Ben Briley, CJ Harris, MK Nobilette, Majesty Rose, Jena Irene, Alex Preston, Jessica Meuse, Emily Piriz, Sam Woolf, and Caleb Johnson - will be expected to give powerful performances on Wednesday as America will decide who will stay in the competition, and who will go home.
