Mahesh Babu's "1 Nenokkadine" has witnessed a huge drop in collections on its second day at the Andhra Pradesh box office.
"1 Nenokkadine" opened well on the release day, raking in ₹8.40 crore share in AP. However, the film fell short of expectations and received mostly negative reviews from critics and audience alike. Negative word of mouth has largely affected the film's business on the second day.
The collections of "1 Nenokkadine" have dropped even in "A" centres where the film was performing well on day 1. The film has reportedly earned around ₹2 crore share in AP on the second day and the film's 2-day collections (share) stand at ₹10.40 crore.
"1 Nenokkadine" collections are likely to decline further as Ram Charan's "Yevadu" has hit the screens today (12 January). According to reports, "Yevadu" has been receiving positive feedback from all quarters. The film is expected to take a fantastic opening on the first day of its release.
If "Yevadu" is received well, it might pose a bigger problem for "1 Nenokkadine." The film's business might get affected and its collections might significantly drop. Moreover, theatre owners might reduce the screen count for "1 Nenokkadine" and allot them for "Yevadu", if the Ram Charan starrer impresses the audience and earns early good collections. [Note: "1 Nenokkadine" released in record number of screens worldwide] It remains to be seen if the "Yevadu" release affects "1 Nenokkadine" business.
Directed by Sukumar, "1 Nenokkadine" is a psychological thriller that revolves around Mahesh's character. The actor appears in the role of a rockstar who is facing psychological issues, owing to a disturbed childhood. Debutant Kriti Sanon plays a journalist and the ladylove of Mahesh. Nassar, Anu Haasan, Sayaji Shinde, Pradeep Rawat, Kelly Dorji and Posani Krishna Murali appear in supporting roles.
