Puneet Rajkumar-Mohanlal's Kannada film "Mythri" has opened up to amazing response from the audience and good reviews by critics. This is possibly making the producer plan about the movie's remake in Telugu.
For the first time, producer NS Rajkumar is reaching out to Telugu superstar Nagrjuna to star for the remake of "Mythri" in Telugu. He has planned for a special screening of the show in Hyderabad and patiently waiting to get Nag's approval for its Tollywood version.
NS Rajkumar is hoping that Nagarjuna would accept the offer as it is a message-oriented film.
"I have already spoken to Nagarjuna Garu about this. Since I was busy with Mythri's release, I couldn't talk to him. We will soon arrange a show for Nagarjuna in Hyderabad and I am pretty sure that he will like the movie. Right now, I am looking forward for his call," the producer said.
"Mythri" has been directed by Giriraj and produced by NS Rajkumar. Puneet Rajkumar, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and Archana are in the lead roles, with Atul Kulkarni and Ravi Kale appearing in equally prominent roles. Music has been composed by Illayaraaja, while Krishna Kumar has done the cinematography. Editing has been taken care of by KM Suresh.
Critics have said "Mythri" has the values of both art and commercial films, making it a special entertainer. The film tells the story of a juvenile delinquent who tries to get out of misery.
"Mythri" did good business at the box office in the opening weekend. The producer said he had expected only the multiplex audience to appreciate the movie, but the movie has apparently impressed all kinds of viewers.
