Blockbuster debut, awards, stunning face and commendable acting skills – "Heropanti" actress Kriti Sanon has everything going for her. And with a couple of films in her kitty, this stunner's Bollywood dreams just got bigger.
Kriti, who had signed Akshay Kumar's "Singh is Bling" has now opted out of the project to star in Rohit Shetty's next with Shah Rukh Khan. The Prabhu Deva directorial, which was slated to go on floors in January but was postponed as the South filmmaker didn't have a bound script ready.
"Prabhu is now ready to kick start the film in March. But that is exactly the time Rohit Shetty is also planning to start shooting for his next. Kriti had to chose and the producers of 'Singh Is Bling' were kind enough to let her go since the delay was from their end," DNA quoted an insider as saying. However, Amy Jackson of "I" fame has been roped in for the action-comedy.
In other news, Rohit Shetty informed he would reveal the final cast in a month's time. "Just the other day I was having a discussion with Shah Rukh and he said, 'Rohit, let people speculate for one more month. After that, we will disclose the name.' So I also thought, 'Yes, why not, let's keep people guessing'," Shetty told Hindustan Times.
Meanwhile, SRK is busy wrapping up Maneesh Sharma's "Fan" in which he will be seen essaying double role – superstar and a commoner. Academy Award-winning makeup artist has been pulled on board to design a special look for the actor.
Additionally, the film, which was set to release on 14 August has now been postponed owing to some never-before-seen special effects work. Karan Johar took to Twitter to announce that his production – "Brothers" starring Akshay Kumar Sidharth Malhotra – has now been blocked for release on the said date.
