Volkswagen has launched its Polo hatchback with updated features in India with a price tag starting at Rs 5.23 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
The new features include cooled glove box, cruise control and electrically foldable ORVMs. The same features are also offered in the Polo GT TSI and GT TDI variants.
Besides this, Polo remains the same in terms of engines and the design.
While the petrol model of Polo is powered by 1.2-litre MPI engine that can churn out a power of 75 PS @ 5,400 rpm and a torque of 110 Nm @ 3,750 rpm, the diesel variant comes with 1.5-litre diesel powertrain that can generate 90 PS @ 4,200 rpm and 230 Nm of torque at 1,500-2,500 rpm.
With 7-speed DSG automatic transmission, the 1.2-litre 4-cylinder engine generates 103PS and 175Nm of torque.
