Debutante director Rishi Sivakumar's Malayalam movie "Valliyum Thetti Pulliyum Thetti" (VTPT), starring Kunchacko Boban and Shamili, has received mixed reviews from the audience.

Written by Rishi Sivakumar, "Valliyum Thetti Pulliyum Thetti" is a retro modern classic entertainer, which revolves around the story of Vinayan (Kunchacko Boban), who works as an operator in Sreedevi Talkies, an old 'C' class cinema. The functioning of the theatre is affected by globalisation and Madhavan Nair (Renji Panicker), the owner of the cinema hall, tries to save the theatre from shutting down.

Bhagavan (Suresh Krishna), is the rival of Madhavan and he tries to acquire Sreedevi Talkies. At this juncture, Vinayan, who considers Madhavan his godfather, falls in love with Bhagavan's daughter Sreedevi (Shamili). What happens next from the crux of the story.

The audience say "Valliyum Thetti Pulliyum Thetti" has an interesting story and Rishi Sivakumar has narrated the story in a complete retro-classic style. The first half of the film is average, but the second half is engaging. The climax of the film is superb. The characterisation is good in the film and the director has managed to tap out good performances from all the artistes.

As Vinayan, Kunchacko Boban has delivered brilliant performance, which is one of the highlights of "Valliyum Thetti Pulliyum Thetti." Actress Shamili, who is returning to the big screen after a long time, has done justice to her role and her chemistry with Boban is another highlight of the film. Renji Panicker, Suresh Krishna, Manoj K Jayan and others have also delivered performances, which are big assets of the movie.

The film has been produced by Faizal Latheef, Sajeev MeeraSahib and Mohammed Nabil Al Asmar under the banner Achappu Movie Magic. It has good production values, say the viewers.
