Mohanlal's latest action thriller Pulimurugan has become the first Mollywood movie to enter the prestigious Rs 100 crore club from its collection all over the globe. The superstar announced the news via his Facebook page on Monday, November 7.

The action thriller, which has been distributed all over the UK by PJ Entertainments, has been making stupendous business at the overseas market. The Mohanlal-starrer has surpassed the lifetime collection records of the recent Malayalam releases, including the superstar's Oppam and Nivin Pauly's family entertainers Jacobinte Swargarajyam (JSR) and Premam at the UK box office, within three days of its release.

Prajeesh Kumar, Managing Director of PJ Entertainments, told International Business Times, India, that the Vysakh directorial, which earned £13,800 on the first day, has made a collection of £90,162 (Rs 74 lakh) during its opening weekend in the UK. The Mohanlal-starrer made the record collection within three days, beating the earning of the superstar's crime thriller Oppam, which made £84,741 (Rs 70 lakh) in 21 days at the UK box office.
Meanwhile, Vineeth Sreenivasan's directorial venture JSR collected £82,451 (Rs 68 lakh) in 28 days followed by Alphonse Puthren's Premam, which minted £80,296 (Rs 66 lakh) after running successfully for 35 days all over the UK.

Pulimurugan has also been performing well in the UAE and GCC markets due to being the most hyped movie of the recent times. The big budget movie, produced by Tomichan Mulakupaadam, has already created many records at the Kerala box office.
Apart from becoming the biggest opening day grosser in Kerala, the action thriller, which also stars Lal, Kamalini Mukherjee, Jagapathi Babu, Bala and Vinu Mohan in the lead roles, has become the fastest movie to enter the Rs 10 crore, Rs 20 crore, Rs 30 crore, Rs 40 crore, Rs 50 crore and Rs 60 crore club in Malayalam.
