Junior NTR's "Temper" has showed excellent performance at the worldwide box office in the first week and shattered the seven-day collection records of "Gopala Gopala", "Race Gurram", "Baadshah" and "Gabbar Singh".

Having garnered lot of attention, "Temper" released in around 1500 screens worldwide on 13 February. The movie, which had decent amount of advance booking, debuted with fantastic response with most of theatres registering 100 per cent occupancy on its opening day. It did superb collection at the global box office and became the biggest opener for Junior NTR as well as biggest opener of 2015.

The word of mouth was expected to drive in unprecedented crowd to theatres screening "Temper" on Saturday, but it received an average response with its collection going down by 50 per cent. The movie could not show much improvement on Sunday, due to World Cup cricket match between India and Pakistan.

On Monday, "Temper" showed steep decline in its numbers with its collection going down by 70+ per cent, when compared to its opening day business. Since Tuesday was a Maha Shivratri holiday, the film was expected to witness a big leap, but its growth was not upto the mark. It maintained rock-steady in ticket counters on Wednesday and Thursday.

"Temper" has collected approximately ₹24 crore nett at the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana box office in the first week. It has raked in ₹14 crore nett from its screening in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, other north Indian regions and international markets. Its approximate seven-day global total stands at 38 crore nett.

Made on budget of ₹35 crore, "Temper" has fetched ₹42 crore from its theatrical rights and its distributors have recovered 90 per cent of their investments on the film in just seven days. The movie has landed in the fifth place in the list of highest grosser Telugu film at the global market in the first week, pushing down blockbuster movies such as "Gopala Gopala", "Race Gurram", "Baadshah" and "Gabbar Singh".
