Junior NTR's recent release "Temper" has completed 50 days in many centres across the globe, but the film has failed to surpass the ₹50-crore mark at the worldwide box office.
"Temper" began with a fantastic response and despite a blow from the World Cup cricket matches, the movie made superb collections at the box office in the first week. Though there was no big-ticket release in the following weeks, the film kept losing out its cinema halls to new small budget flicks, which took a huge toll on its business.
Released on 13 February, "Temper" completed its successful run of 50 days in a large number of theatres on 3 April. The movie has collected ₹13.90 crore net (₹21.40 crore gross) and ₹17.45 crore net (₹29.70 crore gross) in Telangana. It has raked in ₹31.35 crore net and ₹50.60 crore net at the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana box offices in 50 days, reports Andhra Box Office.
"Temper" has earned ₹5.10 crore net (₹11.50 crore gross) in Karnataka, ₹55 lakh net (₹1.40 crore gross) in Tamil Nadu, ₹85 lakh net (₹2.20 crore gross in other parts of India, ₹4.25 crore net (₹6.60 crore gross) in the USA and ₹1 crore net (₹2 crore gross) in other international markets. The Junior NTR starrer has collected ₹43.10 crore net (₹74.30 crore gross) at the worldwide box office within 50 days.
Produced by Bandla Ganesh Babu, "Temper" has been made with a whopping budget of ₹35 crore. Its theatrical rights of various regions have been sold at a record price of ₹42.4 crore. The movie has been successful in recovering the investments to its distributors with a small share of profit.
"Temper" is one of the most-hyped big ticket Tollywood movies of 2015. Before its release, trade experts in filmnagar had predicted that the movie would be the first Telugu film to cross the mark of ₹50 crore net. But the film has failed to surpass this mark.
