Veteran Telugu actor MS Narayana passed away at a private hospital in Hyderabad on Friday. He was 63.
The actor is survived by his wife Kala Prapoorna, daughter Sasi Kiran and son Vikram.
MS Narayana was admitted to the hospital a couple of days ago after he fell sick while visiting his native village in West Godavari district. He was reportedly suffering from malaria and lung infection. He was in a critical condition and was on ventilator support. On Friday morning, the actor breathed his last.
Born in April 1951, MS Narayana began acting in films in 1997. He has starred in more than 700 films, according to reports. The actor was popular for his comic timing and witty dialogues.
Some of his popular films include "Dookudu," "Baadshah," "Ready" and "Attarintiki Daaredi", among others. His latest film "Pataas" hit the screens on Friday and his upcoming films include "Rey" and "Shankara."
Narayana won several awards, including the Andhra Pradesh State Nandi Award for Best Male Comedian five times and the Filmfare Award for "Dookudu." He has also written dialogues for several films, including Suman starrer "Alexander."
Many Tollywood celebrities and fans of the actor have condoled his death.
