Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Suzuki is all set to launch its stylish Gixxer 150 motorbike in India on 9 September.
The company, which already revealed the specifications and price details of Gixxer 150 in India has now confirmed to Zigwheels that the official launch of the bike will take place on 9 September.
Gixxer, the new entrant to India's 150cc bike segment comes with 154.9 cc four-stroke single cylinder air cooled engine, which can pump out a power of 14.8 PS @ 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14 Nm @ 6,000 rpm under the hood.
The engine comes synchronised to a five speed manual transmission and comes equipped with SEP (Suzuki Eco Performance) technology.
In terms of dimension, the modish Gixxer 150 measures 2,050 mm in length, 785 mm in width, 1,030 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 1,330 mm.
The bike comes fitted with a well-designed digital dashboard and hosts fuel tank capacity of 12 litres. Other features on board include telescopic forks at the front and single-shock suspension with swing-arm at the rear.
The bike, which comes to the market in five colour options - grey, red, black, blue and white has been priced at ₹78,909 (on-road Delhi), while in Chennai and Bangalore, the Gixxer gets a price tag of ₹82,458 and ₹87,074 respectively.
The pre-launch bookings of the Gixxer is already open in India with a down payment of ₹5,000 and when launched it will challenge Yamaha FZ-S, Hero Xtreme, Apache RTR and Honda CB Trigger in the subcontinent market.
