Star Plus channel's two shows, "Silsila Pyar Ka" and "Dahleez," are all set to go off air. According to an IndianTelevision.com report, both the shows will be replaced by two new series, "Humko Tumse Ho Gaya Hai Pyaar Kya Karein" and "Ishabaaz."
"Silsila Pyar Ka," which was launched in January, witnessed a constant drop in its ratings in the last couple of months, thereby forcing the makers to pull the plug on it. "Humko Tumse Ho Gaya Hai Pyaar Kya Karein," which will replace "Silsila Pyar Ka," will be aired from June 6 onwards at 8:30 p.m.
"Humko Tumse Ho Gaya Hai Pyaar Kya Karein" will narrate the story of Anokhi, a young effervescent girl belonging to the lower-middle class Mehra family residing in Delhi. Ishani Sharma, who is making her acting debut with the show, will be seen as the female lead, Anokhi.
"Anokhi is called ATM by her close ones because she strongly believes that only money can buy all the happiness in the world," Indo Asian News Service (IANS) had quoted Ishani as saying. "Her ideologies resonate with today's youth who want money, fame and success more than anything else. She is a practical girl of today's times who has no qualms accepting her love for money," she added.
On the other hand, "Ishabaaz," which will replace Adarsh (Harshad Arora) and Swadheenta's (Tridha Choudhary) "Dahleez," will be aired at 10:30 p.m. The show is in its initial stage of development and is said to be based on the lives of three brothers.
