Supriya Shukla aka Sarla (Sriti Jha's onscreen mother) of "Kumkum Bhagya" fame has gained popularity for her portrayal of a loving and caring mother on the show.
The ongoing track in the hit daily soap is such that it doesn't require her to be around for long and so the actress has taken up a new project, which is also a different genre.
Sanjay Kohli's "Saheb, Biwi aur Boss" (SAB TV) will see her essay the role of a caring mother as well as a mother-in-law.
"Yes, I have signed a new show, where I will be playing the role of a mother yet again but it will be definitely different from my previous work. Being a SAB TV show, it will add a quotient of comedy to it which I am really looking forward to play," India Forums quoted Supriya as saying.
While the usual speculation around such news would be if she was leaving "Kumkum Bhagya", the actress cleared all doubts saying since the show doesn't need her much, she spoke with her team after which "Saheb..." happened.
In other news, Abhi (Shabbir Ahluwalia) and Pragya's (Sriti) love story is stuck in a rut as the latter is still trying to get Nikhil, Tanu and Aaliya to admit to their mistakes and wrongdoings.
