Sivakarthikeyan's "Kaaki Sattai" has completed 25 days in theatres and has also become the highest grosser in the actor's career.
The news of "Kaaki Sattai" becoming the highest grosser was announced by the team itself. "#Kaakisattai - 25th Day. Highest Grosser of @Siva_Kartikeyan Movies. Thank U all and Team KaakiSattai for making Us part of this Success," producer Madan tweeted.
Actor Sivakarthikeyan thanked his fans for making it a hit movie and wrote: "#KaakiSattai 25 daysThanks 4 making it my highest grosser.I will try my best to keep http://improving.Support me with your love u all."
Music director Anirudh Ravichander too took to Twitter and wrote, "Thank you all for making #KaakiSattai @Siva_Kartikeyan 's highest grosser till now n making us complete a hat-trick:)"
"Kaaki Sattai" was released on 27 February and opened to mixed reviews. On the release day, it earned ₹4.62 crore and ended it first weekend by making ₹13.34 crore. In the first weekend itself, the film had almost raked in its production cost.
The movie is reportedly made with the budget of ₹14 crore and has raked in over ₹50 crore worldwide. Not only just the producer, but distributors and exhibitors too have made decent profits and are happy with its performance.
The impressive part of "Kakki Sattai" success story is that the movie has done such good business even when Ajith's "Yennai Arindhaal" and Dhanush's "Anegan" were still running in the theatres.
The film is directed by Durai Senthilkumar and produced by actor Dhanush along with Madan. Sri Divya plays the female lead with Prabhu, Vijay Raaz, Manobala, Vidyullekha Raman, Kalpana, Nagineedu and others in the cast.
