Shaji Kailas Confirms Next Film with Mohanlal and Mammootty

Director Shaji Kailas has confirmed the news about his upcoming Magnum Opus. The director of mass films has said that he is set for his upcoming film with superstars Mohanlal and Mammootty. He also added that the script will be done by his close friends Ranjith and Renji Panicker.

"Very Good Evening to one and all. I'm very glad to tell you that my next project with Aashirvad cinemas is confirmed and gonna work with my favourites, Renji Panicker and Renjith. The movie is expected to be released by next year. Expecting your valuable prayers and the support from you all," said Shaji Kailas on his Facebook page.

The rumours about Shaji Kailas-Mammootty-Mohanlal film were making rounds for past few months. There were also reports that Mohanlal had given nod to the film and the team was awaiting Mammootty's confirmation. This news has created a roar not only among Mohanlal and Mammootty fans, but all Malayalam cinema fans.

Mohanlal and Mammootty have acted together in more than 50 films. Their last film together was "Twenty 20" (2008), directed by veteran film maker Joshiy. The film was noticed for its star cast, which included almost all major artists of the Malayalam industry. This film was produced by Dileep and became one of the biggest hits of the year.

At the beginning of his career, Shaji was known for his comedy films. Later, he went on to do many action films to such an extent that punch dialogues and action sequences became synonyms for Shaji's films.

With the power of scripting by Renji and Ranjith, the Shaji directorial is definitely a sure shot success. Their previous works together have created fire on-screen and is still considered the best in the respective genres.

Renji has scripted many films for Shaji, including "Dr Pasupathy", "Thalasthanam", "Sthalathe Pradhana Payyans", "Ekalavyan", "Mafia", "Commissioner", "The King" and "The King and The Commissioner". Meanwhile, Ranjith has scripted Shaji's films like "Asuravamsam", "Aaram Thampuran", "Narasimham" and "Velliettan".

This will be the first time where the ace director will be working with both the superstars together. Reportedly, the new project will be produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.
