The third season of the popular TV soap opera, "Saravanan Meenatchi" ("Saravanan Meenakshi") is all set to take off on Monday, July 18. Actor-turned-anchor Rio and Rachita will be seen playing the lead roles in the show, which will be aired from Monday to Friday at 8.30 p.m. on Star Vijay aka Vijay TV.
One of the successful Tamil TV soap operas, "Saravanan Meenatchi" has crossed 1,000 episodes. Viewers have witnessed two generations of the love story in the first two seasons.
"Saravanan Meenatchi" was started in 2011 when Mirchi Senthil (Saravanan) and Sreeja Chandran (Meenatchi) played the lead roles. Kavin as Vetaiyan and Rachitha as Thanga Meenakshi starred in the second season. Both the first and the second seasons won good reviews from the Tamil audience across the globe and garnered good TRPs for Star Vijay.
The show is written by Francis Kathiravan and directed by Praveen Bennett Azhagar.
"Saravanan Meenatchi" has entertained viewers with good content, which is loaded with fun, emotions, drama and action. The latest season will focus on the romance, betrayal and the obstacles that the lead characters face.
