On Monday at the Mobile World Congress, SanDisk launched a micro SDXC card with a goliath storage capacity of 200GB. The next day, they unveiled a USB 3.0 based flash drive for Android devices.
Named 'SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Drive 3.0', the USB flash drive features two ports for connecting to Windows computers as well as handheld Android devices.
The USB 3.0 port helps the SanDisk Ultra Dual to connect with desktop and laptop computers for transferring data. The same drive can also be connected to any Android smartphone or tablets to access the archived files on the drive. The drive gets recognised by every Android device and can play/ copy/move files from and to the device.
The latest drive is an update to SanDisk's existing USB 2.0 Dual drive for faster data transfer. The new SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Drive 3.0 sports a slick retractable design for easy usability, as well as a longer micro-USB connector to accommodate device cases or port covers.
The USB drive offers a convenient way to transfer and share content via an Android-powered smartphone or tablet's micro-USB port, without the need for cables, email or wireless set-up.
The drive also offers USB 3.0 performance at up to 130MB/s3 from the drive to the computer for users to quickly transfer and back up photos, videos and other files originally taken with their smartphones.
For clutter free data management, SanDisk has launched an Android App naming SanDisk memory Zone. Compatible with most Android powered devices, the app allows users to locate files, backup, organize and transfer contents without any hassle.
The SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Drive 3.0 is now available on Flipkart in 16GB to 64GB capacities with MRPs, 16GB for ₹1099, 32GB for ₹1749 and 64GB for ₹3049.
