Sachin Tendulkar is all set to make his acting debut in the biopic titled "Sachin A Billion Dreams." However, reports said that Sachin's son Arjun Tendulkar will also be seen playing the cricketer's younger version in the movie.
Makers of the biopic wanted a young boy, who would match Sachin's appearance and his cricketing skills at the same time. When the hunt did not bring any good catch, makers of Sachin's movie decided to cast Arjun himself as the younger Sachin of the "God of Cricket," reports the Times of India.
The report also said that debutant Mayuresh will be seen as Sachin's elder brother Nitin Tendulkar in the movie. Directed by Emmy nominated director James Erskine, "Sachin A Billion Dream" is a film about how Sachin turned into a virtuous hero from a wild child.
Teaser of the movie was released recently and it garnered positive response from all corners. Although a couple of other biopics on India's legendary cricketers, including Mohammad Azharuddin and Mahendra Singh Dhoni are also coming up, this film on Sachin was a surprise for all as there was no prior information on making of the movie.
The film's teaser suggested that the movie will include a lot of footage from Sachin's real-life matches and the report also said that 40 percent of the 120 minute long biopic will show some of Sachin's best performances on the field. Release date of the film is yet to be announced.
