Allu Arjun's "S/O (Son of) Satyamurthy" has made fantastic collections at the worldwide box office. The Trivikram Srinivas-directed film has crossed the mark of ₹25 crore on Saturday.
Released in over 1400 cinema halls across the globe on 9 April, "S/O Satyamurthy" debuted with an overwhelming response on Thursday. Having garnered a mixed word-of-mouth, the movie witnessed around 40% at the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana box office on Friday. Its business further slipped by another 10% on Saturday.
"S/O Satyamurthy" has collected ₹9.27 crore on Thursday, ₹5.15 crore on Friday and ₹4 crore on Saturday. The Allu Arjun-starrer has raked in approximately ₹18.42 crore at the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana box office in three days. As per the early trends, its Sunday collection will be on par with its business on its opening day in these states.
This Telugu family drama has also received superb response in the international markets. "S/O Satyamurthy" has collected approximately ₹6 crore from 200+ screens at the overseas box office in three days. The movie has earned approximately 2.50 crore from its screening in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and other parts of North India in three days.
"S/O Satyamurthy" has collected a total of ₹26.92 crore at the worldwide box office in three days. The movie has registered very good amount of occupancy everywhere in the morning and afternoon shows. The film is expected to collected 12 crore and take its four-day-extended first weekend global total to closer to the mark of ₹40 crore.
The movie has already shattered several records of Allu Arjun's previous release "Race Gurram", which has been the biggest opener and highest grosser film for Bunny. "S/O Satyamurthy" is now all set to become the highest grosser Telugu film in opening weekend in 2015, beating the records of "Gopala Gopala" and "Temper".
