Allu Arjun's "S/O (Son of) Satyamurthy" has done well at the US box office in the second weekend, beating the lifetime collection record of Junior NTR's "Temper" and Pawan Kalyan's "Gopala Gopala".
Released in 153 screens in North America on 9 April, "S/O Satyamurthy" opened to an overwhelming response. The Allu Arjun starrer raked in $1,111,531 (₹6.94 crore) at the US box office in its opening weekend. In its second week, the movie lost over 60 percent of its screen count to new releases "OK Kanmani", "OK Bangaram" and "Kanchana 2".
Despite facing competition from the new releases, "S/O Satyamurthy" continued to keep the cash registers ringing on its second Friday. The movie showed good growth on Saturday, but business was down by more than 50% percent on Sunday.
Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#SonOfSatyaMurthy [Telugu] - USA - Week 2: Fri $ 21,613, Sat $ 35,976, Sun $ 15,227. Grand total: $ 1,235,073 [₹ 7.79 cr]. @RentrakIndia."
In its second weekend, "S/O Satyamurthy" collected $72816 at the US box office. The movie has landed at the third place, while "OK Kanmani" and "OK Bangaram" occupied the first and second place respectively in the USA business chart with their collection figures of $615,968 (from 175 screens) and $230,185 (from 39 screens).

The film has landed at the ninth spot in the list of all-time Tollywood grossers at the US box office.
