After "ABCD 2," Lauren Gottlieb is set to make her debut in Punjabi industry opposite Diljit Dosanjh with "Ambarsariya." The Punjabi superstar has turned tutor for the actress and is teaching her the regional language for the film.
"I was surrounded by Punjabis and Diljit helped me a lot to get my diction right. In fact, during dubbing, he was pretty shocked that I could lip-sync so well," Deccan Chronicle quoted Lauren as saying. Along with Lauren, the film also stars Navneet Kaur Dhillon and Monica Gill in pivotal roles.
The cast of "Ambarsariya" recently appeared on Krushna Abhishek's show "Comedy Nights Live" to promote their film. Singer Mika Singh, who replaced Navjot Singh Sidhu from "Comedy Nights With Kapil," took to Twitter handle to support the actor, he tweeted: "Brother wish you all the best for your upcoming movie #Ambarsariya ..You are a rock star..."
Written by Dheeraj Rattan, "Ambarsariya" is a romantic comedy. In the film, Diljit plays an insurance agent, who has a record number of sales to his name. The characters of the three actresses will fall in love with Diljit in the movie.
"Ambarsariya" has been directed by Mandeep Kumar and produced by Tips Films. It is scheduled to be released on March 25. The makers of the film unleashed its trailer last month that received positive response from the viewers.
As Lauren is making her debut in Punjabi industry, Diljit will also be appearing in a Bollywood film for the first time. The superstar will be seen in Abhishek Chaubey's "Udta Punjab" alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
Also, there have been reports that Anushka Sharma will share screen space with Diljit in her next production flick "Phillauri." Directed by debutant Anshai Lal, the film will also feature the "Life Of Pi" actor Suraj Sharma and the movie is set in Phillaur, Punjab.
