The teaser of upcoming film "Sapthamashree Thaskaraha", directed by Anil Radhakrishnan Menon is released. The teaser, which begins with the background score of "Chenda Melam" introduces all the main characters of the film.
The teaser introduces major characters including Shahab played by Asif Ali, Noblettan played by Nedumudi Venu, Narayanankutty played by Neeraj Madhav and Krishnanunni played by Prithviraj.
The teaser also indicates audience to wait for a visual treat from the festivals of Kerala like "Pulikali" and other temple festivals. The storyline of the film is based in Thrissur and will also see the regional slang being popularised again. Thrissur slang has been featured before in films like "Thoovanthumbikal" and "Pranchiyettan and The Saint".
"Sapthamashree Thaskaraha" will also see Mangolian circus artist Flower Battsetseg in a pivotal role. The film also has Reenu Mathews and Sanusha in an important role. Reenu Mathews will be seen as bold working woman in the film unlike her typical house wife looks in her earlier ventures. Mean while, Sanusha will play a bold and mature nurse in the film and will be seen in a no-makeup look.
The tongue-twisting title of the film has already gone popular. "Sapthamashree Thaskaraha" is a Sanskrit word, which translates to the term seven gentlemen thieves. The tagline of the film is "Aishwaryamulla Kallanmar" and tells the story of seven thieves. The film is said to be a satirical film mixed with lot of humour.
Anil Radhakrishnan Menon made his debut as a director with "North 24 Kaatham" in 2013. The film had Fahadh Faasil, Nedumudi Venu and Swathi Reddy in the lead roles. The film was well-received by audience and won many accolades including National Award for best feature film in Malayalam and State Award for Best Second film and Fahadh Faasil as best actor.
"Sapthamashree Thaskaraha" is written by Anil Radhakrishnan Menon and the cinematography is done by Jayesh Nair. The music is done by Rex Vijayan. The film is produced by Santhosh Sivan, Shaji Nadesan and Prithviraj under the banner of August Cinemas.
