Pink continued its decent run at the box office on day 5 as well. The film has been maintaining a steady pace at the domestic market, but Raaz Reboot appears to be struggling at Indian box office.
Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu-starrer Pink had started on a slow note but the movie's collection picked up since the start of the weekend. After earning Rs 21.51 crore nett in the domestic market by the end of its weekend, Pink continues to do good business during the weekdays.
Pink collected Rs 3.78 crore on Monday and Rs 3.51 crore on Tuesday, taking its total 5-day nett box office collection to Rs. 28.80 crore. "#Pink is ROCK-STEADY... Fri 4.32 cr, Sat 7.65 cr, Sun 9.54 cr, Mon 3.78 cr, Tue 3.51 cr. Total: 28.80 cr. India biz," tweeted Taran Adarsh.
On the other side, Emraan Hashmi's Raaz Reboot had a good opening day collection but its earnings remained average over the weekend and even on the 5th day. Raaz Reboot is lagging behind Pink in domestic collection by around Rs 6 crore by the end of Tuesday.
The horror film collected Rs 2.27 crore nett on its day 5, taking its domestic earning to Rs 22.97 crore nett. "#RaazReboot Fri 6.30 cr, Sat 5.49 cr, Sun 6.30 cr, Mon 2.61 cr, Tue 2.27 cr. Total: 22.97 cr. India biz," the trade analyst tweeted.
Although the hype around Raaz Reboot, starring Emraan, Kriti Kharbanda and Gaurav Arora, was much more than that of Pink, the horror film received mostly negative reviews from the critics. On the other side, the court-room drama was much appreciated by the critics and has been enjoying strong word of mouth.
With not any big release scheduled this Friday, except Riteish Deshmukh-Nargis Fakhri-starrer Banjo, Pink is likely to have a decent hold at the box office in the coming days.
