Power Star Pawan Kalyan will imitate his brother Megastar Chiranjeevi's 'veena step' in a song of his highly-anticipated movie "Sardaar Gabbar Singh," a sequel to his hit film "Gabbar Singh."
Megastar Chiranjeevi performed the "veena step" in the chartbuster song "Dai Dai Damma..." featured in "Indra." This Tollywood folklore song has become evergreen. Pawan Kalyan was reluctant when the idea of having veena step in "Sardaar Gabbar Sing." But the Power Star has reportedly agreed to pay homage to the step.
"Initially, Pawan Kalyan was reluctant about the prospect of imitating his brother's veena step when the idea was proposed. He felt stepping into Chiranjeevi's shoes wouldn't be easy. But after some deliberation he gave the green signal," the Hyderabad Times quoted a source from the film's set as saying.
The buzz is that Pawan Kalyan has shot the portions of the veena step on Saturday and Sunday.
On March 5, I Andrew Babu, who is one of the cinematographers of "Sardaar Gabbar Singh," tweeted a photo taken on the set of the movie. He also wrote, "Sleepless nights but enjoying shooting wonderful preclimax, sardar Gabbarsingh treat for Fans ☺☺☺ (sic)."
A day later, I Andrew Babu hinted at the completion of the shooting of "veena step." Without mentioning it, the cinematographer tweeted Sunday, "Today power star dance movement ki whole crew became crazy, Just imagine how Fans will be in d theatre☺☺☺."
Devi Sri Prasad is composing music for the songs of "Sardaar Gabbar Singh," which will be released at a grand audio launch function likely to be held March 20. The music director will incorporate the song's tune in the track of the movie. This soundtrack is going to be one of the highlights of the film, which is scheduled to release in theatres on April 8.
