Ahead of its session at the San Diego Comic Con 2015, which will be held on Saturday, 11 July, from 10-10.45 am, "Once Upon a Time" fans have got some updates on season 5 through the cast and crew of the ABC fairy tale series.
One of the major scoops on the upcoming sequel is the revelation of the premiere title: "The Dark Swan". The caption was revealed by composer Mark Isham on Instagram.
However, he immediately deleted it, according to Spoiler TV.
Another major update on the series is about the various challenges that Jennifer Morrison will be facing as dark swan. Co-creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis partly reveal details about the the character.
"Every part of her is fighting her dark urges," said executive producer Edward Kitsis, adding,"What happens when [the darkness] mixes with the lightest magic of all, and will Emma have the strength to fight it?"
"How a Dark One manifests is specific to each person who takes on the mantle. Emma will have her own unique spin on what it means to be a Dark One," said Adam Horowitz.
Horowitz also stated that they are planning to explore the romantic relationship between Emma and Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) in the upcoming sequel.
"We are going to be exploring love and what happens when you use it as a weapon and what are the things that it makes you do. In the past, we've said love is the most powerful magic of all. It makes you do many things you normally wouldn't think you would," he told Entertainment Weekly.
Meanwhile, followers of the show will be getting a glimpse of the upcoming sequel through an exclusive sneak peek during the international convention.
The comic con panel will be attended by Morrison, Ginnifer Goodwin, Lana Parrilla, Robert Carlyle, Josh Dallas, Colin O'Donoghue, Emilie de Ravin, Rebecca Mader and Sean Maguire along with executive producers Horowitz and Kitsis.
The creative team will not just interact with fans during the Q&A session, but will also discuss the various elements, including evolving characters, unexpected twists as well as new rivalries and adventures that will make "Once Upon a Time" season 5 interesting.
