"Yuvvraaj" co-stars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif continue to rule the popularity chart, a recent Ormax Cinematix 2014 report states.

Ormax's "Stars India Loves" report was based on a survey conducted across 44 cities in the country. It showed the public's favourite stars in various categories. Salman Khan topped the list of the "Most Popular Male Star of the Year" with 47 per cent, followed by Aamir Khan (23 per cent) and Shah Rukh Khan (22 per cent).

Meanwhile, Katrina Kaif elbowed out her contemporaries with a whopping 44 per cent votes in the most popular category. Katrina was recently crowned "The Hottest Woman in the World" as she bagged the Numero Uno spot on the Ultimate Guys Guide - Maxim. Deepika Padukone grabbed the second place with 30 per cent and was followed by Kareena Kapoor (20 per cent) in the third place.

When it came to the "Most Liked Film of the Year", the WOM (Word-of-Mouth) study put Aamir Khan's "PK" at the top, followed by "Queen", "2 States", "Holiday" and "Mary Kom".

For "Best Male Performance of the Year", Aamir Khan emerged victorious for his performance in "PK". He was followed by Salman Kahan, for his performance in "Kick", and Ajay Devgan, for his acting skills in "Singham Returns". When it comes to performances of female actresses in lead roles, Rani Mukherjee topped the list for her performance in "Mardaani", followed by Kangana Ranaut in "Queen" and by Priyanka Chopra in "Mary Kom".

In the category of the "Most Popular Director", Rohit Shetty topped the list followed by Rakesh Roshan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The score for each director is based on the parameters of name awareness, work awareness and appeal.

Meanhwhile, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt have been named the fastest growing stars of 2014.
