Superstar Mohanlal's upcoming big budget movie "Pulimurugan" is one of the most-anticipated Malayalam movies of the year and the action thriller has been making headlines ever since it went on the floors.
The Kerala audience has been eagerly awaiting for the release date of the flick since last year. The Vysakh directorial, which was said to hit the screens by the end of 2014, was postponed to the first half of 2015. However, sources from the Malayalam entertainment industry now hint that the film will be released in July, as a Ramzan treat to the superstar's fans.
The tentative release date of the movie is said to be July 7 or July 8 and the Mohanlal-starrer will also be simultaneously released in English and Telugu languages in more than 3,000 screens throughout the world.
"Pulimurugan" has an ensemble cast, including Bala, Siddique, Vinu Mohan, Kamalini Mukherjee and Suraj Venjaramoodu and Telugu actor Jagapati Babu will be seen as the antagonist in the action thriller. The movie, shot in Kerala, Vietnam, South Africa and Thailand, is said to have a 20-minute climax scene in which Mohanlal will be seen fighting a tiger. The action sequence has been choreographed by stunt coordinator Peter Hein and reports suggest that the superstar acted it without any body double.
While Udayakrishna has penned the screenplay, Gopi Sunder has composed the background score and soundtrack of the flick, for which Shaji has handled the cinematography. The movie is being produced under the banner of Mulakuppadam Films and is expected to make tremendous box office records after its release.
